This red sauce is authentic Italian tomato sauce, the backbone of Italian cuisine. Showcasing only a few quality ingredients, and coupled with hours of roasting and simmering time, this sauce is as versatile as it is delicious! A cross between a marinara and arrabbiata sauce, use it in your favourite pasta recipes, when you need a quick dinner, or when you’re trying to impress someone. This sauce is so indulgent, you’ll feel like you are out at your favourite Italian restaurant!
French Canadian baked beans, known as fèves au lard, are a traditional, slow-cooked comfort food staple from Quebec. Unlike the tomato-based, molasses-heavy Boston style, this version is distinct for its rich, sweet-and-savory flavor profile, relying on maple syrup and pork. Using my family’s recipe, indulge in some stick-to-your-ribs goodness. A great accompaniment for breakfast or brunch or enjoy them as the main course for dinner, doing it Brit-style with beans on toast.
